ENCOURAGING PASTORS IN NEPAL – With our partner, Pastor Dan Pokharel of Global Mission Nepal, our team is organizing, hosting and funding a pastor’s conference for 100 church planters from across the entire country.

We have invited each pastor, along with his wife and kids, to an all-expenses paid retreat in the centrally-located city of Pokhara from October 19-21, 2021.

SUPPORTING THE VISION – Can you help us come alongside Pastor Dan’s vision to win Nepal for Christ through church planting? In a country that only received the Gospel in 1951, and is 98+ percent Hindu-Buddhist / Non-Christian, the Gospel is still advancing in unprecedented ways. Right now. Churches are rising up mostly unhindered by the Hindu state-govenment.

PRAYING WITH US – Will you pray with us for such a time as this, that the Lord will use this conference to build up, refresh and encourage church planters and their wives in their marriages; in their churches; and as leaders in Global Mission Nepal’s emerging church planting network of churches.

GIVING FINANCIALLY – This will be a first-of-its-kind event for Pastor Dan and his team. And you can help. For just $150 per couple we can offer everything for free—for 100 couples, for four days / three nights—including resort accommodations, meals, gifts, and materials.

That translates to a total of $15K that we are asking God to raise up to cover the cost of the entire event. Praise God, we have already received two gifts of $2,500 each from two very special partners. Would you, or your church, be willing to sponsor one or more couples?

COME WITH US TO NEPAL – October 16-26, 2021 (10 days)

Be a part of this amazing trip to Nepal, where will be investing:

  • three days in Pokhara doing a pastors and wives conference for 100 church planters and their families.
  • one and half days in Chitwan doing an elephant safari, hosting a dinner with church planters, and worshiping Saturday in local churches.
  • two days in Kathmandu doing a pastors training, flying over Mount Everest, and visiting some historic sights, before returning to the airport.

Our flights from Tampa depart Saturday night, October 16, 2021 and return Tuesday afternoon, October 26, 2021.

Overview: GCPN has a long-term partnership with Pastor Dan Pokharel of Global Mission Nepal. A native of Nepal, Pastor Dan moved to the U.S. in the 2000s to plant churches among Nepali-speaking immigrants in Dallas, in Boston / New England, and in Charlotte, NC. All the while, Pastor Dan has been leading his non-profit organization to equip pastors and plant churches across the entire country of Nepal. They have planted more than 100 churches since they began in 2013.

This trip and our team will be a huge encouragement to Pastor Dan, his leadership team and his church planters and their families, as we equip and refresh pastors and their wives for the ministry of church planting among the nearly 30 million Hindu-Buddhists in Nepal.

Investment: $2,700 per person (includes all travel, housing, meals)

Required Documents: Valid passport (not to expire within six months), and a simple online visa application that is completed and printed prior to travel (we will provide the link to participants)

COVID – Outbound – PCR negative test required within 72 hours of travel. Returning – Rapid negative required withing 72 hours of travel.

Who Should Come: The team for this trip will be really good at service, hospitality, administration, and media. Adults and students can come and help with any or all of these needs. Our greatest need right now is for two or three people to head up our children’s programs at the resort in Pokhara. Everyone on the trip will also have the chance to visit a local church service and share a greeting and a testimony with that Nepalese congregation.

Is this for me? As with any trip, all of our short-term missionaries must be servant-hearted and willing to serve our partner’s agenda in the field. This trip offers special opportunities for hospitality and encouragement. Everyone will need to be O.K. with long travel and casual conversations with Hindu-Buddhist locals, and especially with encouraging pastors, their wives, and other believers.

Price is all-inclusive. Housing is a resort / hotel in Pokhara and Chitwan, and a mission house / dormitory style in Kathmandu. We always try to do two to a room, but have other options available.
