Jesus said in Luke 10:2 — “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest” (ESV).
Jesus was talking about lost souls who are loved by God and who are ready to hear the message of salvation. “Therefore,” Jesus said, 1) “pray earnestly,” 2) “to the Lord of the harvest,” 3) that He will “send out workers,” missionaries and church planters into the mission field.
