GCPN and Celebration Network are leading a
Pastor’s Vision Tour to Rio de Janeiro
Monday April 25 to Saturday, April 30, 2022
This trip is for local pastors and leaders who want to experience a four-day, all-inclusive dive into our church planting ministries in Brazil! How can you get involved?
Pray! | Refer this trip! | Give! | Come With Us!
PRAY! – Please pray that God will continue raising up leaders in Boston and Brazil; that He will Glorify Himself through our Network of churches; that many will come to Christ; that many multiplying churches will be planted; that He will provide the partners and resources to continue the work.
REFER this trip! – forward to this email to your pastors and leaders.
GIVE! – We need scholarships to make this trip affordable. Your gift of $600 (or any amount) will help pay up to half of the cost for each pastor, including, housing, meals, transportation and special gifts.
COME WITH US! – Come and see, and smell and taste what the Holy Spirit is doing through Celebration Church Planting in Rio de Janeiro!
We are praying that God will touch the hearts of pastors and leaders who will come and see and experience the lostness and the opportunity in Brazil; come and see our response through church planting and leadership development.
We are praying that God will send pastors who will catch the vision and take that vision back to their churches, and pray about partnering with us long-term.
ITINERARY – On this trip, we will:
- fly overnight from Miami to Rio Monday night, April 25, 2022.
- tour all day Tuesday through Friday
- visit church planters and small groups in Rio de Janeiro (Universitária, Bonsucesso, Barra, Niteroi)
- visit our church planter in Santa Cruz
- visit our partner ministry and future church planting site in Saquarema
- visit Pão de Açúcar, churascarrias, and Copa Cabana
- return Friday night from Rio, arriving in the U.S. Saturday, April 30, 2022 around mid-day.
We will stay in an Air BnB house / condo with multiple rooms. Two per Room is preferred.
TOTAL COST – Total cost is your airfare + $500 for everything else (scholarships may be able to cover this), including housing, transportation and meals. This is an all-inclusive trip. All you need to do is get off the plane and enjoy the experience.
AIRFARE – You can book your own airfare, or you can pay the fare amount to GCPN and we will book it for you.
We are booked round trip with Copa Airlines out of Orlando. We will drive to Orlando Monday afternoon and arrive at MCO around 3:00 p.m. for a 5:50 p.m. flight. We will return to Orlando April 30, 2022 at 4:30 p.m.. We should be back in Tampa before 7:00 p.m.
COVID – You will need a vaccine card and a negative PCR negative within 72 hours of the first leg of your flight to Brazil. You are own your own for this test. We recommend scheduling ahead of time with Minute Clinic online as soon as we are two weeks out from the day you want to test (April 9).
You will also need a rapid negative 24 hours before the flight back to the U.S. We will arrange the test in Brazil into our schedule. You will also be required to show a vaccine card to get onto the cable car attraction at Pão de Açúcar, and possibly other attractions and restaurants. Things are changing quickly with all of this. We will keep you informed.
SCHOLARSHIPS – Our prayer is that we can raise enough money to offer pastors everything beyond the airfare for free (a $500 value that includes housing, transportation, and meals). If you need a scholarship, just ask. If you can give a scholarship so other pastors can enjoy this benefit, please make checks to Great Commission Partnerships or pay online here:
