Mission Trip: Brazil, July 4-13, 2021

Thank you for you interest in helping us advance the Gospel in Rio

Summary: GCPN partners with two different ministries in Brazil: Pastor Joe Souza and the Celebration Church Planting Network in Rio; and Pastor Hilario Polanco of Voando Alto, a Gospel-centerered children’s center in Saquarema.

Ministry: This trip will be both a vision tour and a mission trip as we meet with key leaders in each ministry and also serve them in different ways.

In Rio, we will create awareness and connections for Celebration Church Rio, a new church plant. Our efforts focus on neighborhood engagement, prayer walking, conversations, and inviting folks to a block party that we will be doing alongside the new church.

In Saquarema, we will serve 160 elementary-aged kids at Voando Alto, and lead them through a three-day, outdoor, backyard bible club and sports camp.

Dates: July 4-13, 2021 (8.5 days) | Sunday p.m. -> +Tuesday a.m.

Docs: Valid passport (not to expire within six months)

COVID: Negative test required within three days of travel both ways. On your own for testing prior to departure from U.S. Test location the day of travel from Rio is already known.

Housing: Air BnB House / Condo (two per room), + couches, air mattresses as needed

Team: Four to six adults, plus six to eight students (middle-high school)

Itinerary: Leaves in the late afternoon on Sunday night, July 4, 2021 and returns morning / mid-day, July 13, 2021.

Sun – travel Sunday afternoon / evening
M – arrive in Rio at 8:20 a.m., travel to Saquarema
T-W-R- Backyard Bible Club with kids at Voando Alto in Saquarema (rural)
R- back in Rio
F – tourist day
Sat – neighborhood engagement and block party in Rio
S – worship with Celebration in the morning and evening services
M – testimony in schools, travel back to the airport

Cost: $1,500 per person, all-inclusive | Deadline for Sign-Up: May 30, 2021 | Deposit: $500 (due immediately to purchase airfare); Second installment of $500 due by June 15 | Balance due before departure.
