Church-wide Training – Missions for the Church, Celebrating Partnerships
Now that our pastor(s) and leaders have done the heavy lifting (strategic planning and leader training), we can engage the entire church with our Missions for the Church (M4C) training.
This is a five-session training / workshop geared to stoke the missions fire in the church. We focus on missions history, and on Biblical foundations that point us to the Great Commission (Mat 28:16-20) and to Acts 1:8, which helps us unpack a strategy for our local, national and international witness. We believe this witness is best evidenced today as local churches come alongside other believers in long-term partnerships in the field.
This training can be done on a Friday night-Saturday morning, or as an all-day Saturday event. It is planned as an onsite, in-person event but with Zoom capability for anyone who cannot be present.
Our team coordinates with your church to make things easy, including all the hospitality and A/V needs. We also provide all the printed materials.
Note: We do have a condensed version of this training that can be done in one evening as more of a “vision night” approach.
Mission Team-Leader Training and Certification
Through years of practical experience and study, our ministry has assembled a training and certification program to help local churches do all they can to equip leaders to lead teams into the short-term mission field.
This training prioritizes the church’s vision and strategy for missions through partnerships. From the leader’s perspective, it coves the process of team-building, pre-trip planning and preparation, best practices on the field, and a post-trip plan.
Unlike other preparation guides, this training views missions as more than a trip. It is a small group discipleship experience that spans three to four months typically. We stress multiple pre-trip meetings that invest a lot of time in the Bible, on cultural awareness, and understanding how the culture dictates how teams will serve their partners and represent the Gospel in that context.
Team leaders will leave this training confident to lead, and well-equipped… with their spiral-bound leader’s guides never more than an arm’s length away. We can also provide the church with a team participant version of the guide that leaders can use in their pre-trip trainings.
This training is best completed over two full days, usually a Friday-Saturday. It is planned as an onsite, in-person event but with Zoom capability for anyone who cannot be present. Our team coordinates with your church to make things easy, including all the hospitality and A/V needs. We also provide all the printed materials.
Pre-trip / Post-trip Meetings
One of the benefits of leader training is that it helps your church build a framework for calendaring and facilitating all of your pre-trip and post-trip meetings. Whether your church is joining in on one of our trips, or doing a trip of your own, our ministry will be there to facilitate meetings or assist as needed.
